Wakacje.pl is the largest trip sales platform in Poland with a dynamically developing network of franchise salons. The multi-agent has been operating on the market since 1999, and since 2015, it has been part of the largest Polish holding of media and e-commerce companies - Wirtualna Polska Holding. Every year, it sends hundreds of thousands of Poles on vacation.

Need

As the leader of travel multi-agents in Poland, Wakacje.pl continuously works on further conveniences to make planning and purchasing vacations even easier and more enjoyable. They aim to reach the widest possible audience through their network of salons, their e-commerce platform, and their call center. The natural development of existing sales channels was to expand them with a mobile application. This app, unique on the Polish market, offers a wide database of offers from dozens of organizers. In the app, users could find information about their reservations - also in offline mode, purchase additional services, and pay for reservations using secure and fast payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. All this was to create a comprehensive service readily available on the phone.

Convenient offer search with filtering and sorting

The offer search has been improved by mechanisms that increase user convenience. The functionalities include filtering by a wide range of criteria and sorting results by popularity, price, or customer ratings.

Remembering search parameters

In addition to filtering and sorting, a function has been implemented to remember search parameters even after the session ends. In practice, this means saving time and energy spent on repeatedly filling in the number and age of participants and the type of transport.

Alternative offers

In case of no results for the specified parameters, the app suggests alternative offers considering a slight change in one of the factors such as organizer, type of board, length or date of stay, departure location, or type of transport.

Order configuration

The offer details present the possibility to configure the order by editing basic parameters and adding additional products such as luggage, insurance, or parking. At the final stage of the search, the user sees a summary of the products included in the order, the amount considering the participants' age and deposit amount, and can immediately make a reservation or complete the order - then redirected to the travel agency's website.

Maps indicating attractions near the offer location

The use of native maps in presenting offers and orders allows the projection of points indicating the most interesting attractions near the accommodation.

Favorite offers

Among the many conveniences offered by the app, the possibility to highlight favorite offers stands out. The dedicated tab offers a view of the saved offers list with the ability to modify and share it.

The service is available to both logged-in and non-logged-in users.

Sharing

The app allows sharing the offer with the selected configuration. Additionally, the sharing functionality includes the list of favorite offers and the app itself with a link to its profile in the App Store / Google Play.

In-App Notifications

The In-App Messaging tool offered by Google Firebase allows sending notifications directly to users within the app. Notifications can take various forms, such as full-screen alerts or banners. This service is used to promote new features, inform about updates, conduct marketing campaigns, and encourage app ratings. The tool enables analyzing notification effectiveness and further adjusting communication strategies based on user interaction data to maximize engagement and satisfaction.

Franchise salons

With the franchise salon finder, users can easily find a stationary sales point. They can also select a specific area using the location service or manually fill in the data in the text field. To simplify contacting the selected salon, the app displays its contact details and sets the route in the device's default map app.

Convenient immediate contact with Customer Service

The app enables efficient contact with Customer Service by providing direct links to phone calls and a contact form that ensures all required fields are filled in to address the issue.

Improved FAQ exploration

To facilitate browsing and finding content of interest, the extensive FAQ section includes internal links within the app using deep links.

Conveniences for logged-in users

The app offers full freedom of navigation to non-logged-in users.

For logged-in users, additional conveniences are prepared, such as access to the client panel, where viewing details of purchased and archived offers is very convenient. In addition to the order summary, this view presents information about participants, travel, trip documents, hotel location and nearby attractions, weather forecast for the specified date, and a schedule with payment management options.

Offline mode

In case of no internet connection, the app allows viewing the details of the purchased offer. Users can save the file on their mobile device and also access order documents in offline mode.
